For Students

Virtual Learning Days

What is a Designated Virtual Learning Day?  This is a day of school when circumstances do not allow for students and teachers to physically be at school (inclement weather, illness, etc.)  Rather than canceling school and having students and teachers make up the day later, Carteret County Public Schools would call for the day to be a Designated Virtual Learning Day.   Teachers will post lessons for students in the learning management system (LMS).  Carteret County Public Schools supports three LMS’s: Google Classroom, Canvas, and SeeSaw (depending on grade level).

Students are already familiar with this instructional method, as teachers currently use this format regularly (some more than others).
